Anyhow, Jason was kind enough to send me the 5 install files, but I'm running Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capital) at the moment and older versions of Cubase (7 and below) don't appear to work on anything above OS X 10.5. Either that, or convince them that you need to handle projects for someone else on an older version.?Īnd as far as version 6 and up being available only, I thought they still had SX3 on their site, because with that, you can convert older Cubase VST project files formats to the newer file formats.Well I have the license, and I probably have the original CD somewhere, but it may have got lost or tossed in my recent move to Hawaii. I'd also guess that you may have to prove you originally had that older versions. My guess is that they don't list those older versions for downloads, because Cubase 5 and older versions have been cracked. I was told by a Steinberg mod a few years ago that if you have the latest Cubase license (version 8 at this point), you can ask Steinberg for any other older version.but he didn't actually say they'd 'give' it to you, it seemed to be more of a 'it wouldn't hurt to ask request'.
